Crunchy On The Outside, Chewy In The Middle

A conversation with my husband while eating a few chocolate chip cookies from Paradise Bakery:

Me: "God, these are good cookies."

Nick: "They are good cookies."

Me: "I don't know what the secret is, but they are the ideal cookie! Slight crispy crunch on the outside and chewy in the middle."

Nick: "Just like you."

Me: "I'm crunchy on the outside and chewy in the middle?"

Nick: "Well, your insides are probably chewy."

Me: "Oh. You're probably right."
