Grace In Small Things - Part 10

Yay, the rain is back!! I thoroughly enjoyed the storm today, brisk winds and all. And look what it left behind!

I saw quite a few rainbows on my drive home from work this evening, but this beauty was beaming right over our neighborhood. Rainbows are beautiful in their simplicity and they always cause the little girl in me to peek out and giggle in delight.

After the storm subsided, I went out on the deck to breath in the scent of the freshly fallen rain and to enjoy this beautiful sunset.

I went out in my pajamas and with bare feet. I kinda liked the feeling of the cold, wet wood under my feet. This is why I hate wearing shoes, folks. You completely miss out on all kinds of wonderful sensations on your toes.

The one thing that could have made this evening more enjoyable is a hot cup of tea. In fact, I think I'll go brew me a cup right now. It's never too late for a cup of tea.

Sakes Alive, It's Cold!

Well good morning, Mr. Storm Cloud! Was that you doing all that thundering last night? Oh, that was a marvelous thunderstorm. I thank you.

It's a chilly 52 degrees this morning and Mr. Storm Cloud is throwing down some icy hail. I like the sound of hail almost as much as I like thunder.

This chilly weather is welcome, a sure sign that Fall is on it's way. Smell ya later, Summer!

Perfect conditions this morning for a hot cuppa tea in my favorite mug.

And it was cold enough I even had to put my elephant socks on. Aahhhh, nothing like a proper thunderstorm, a hot cuppa tea and some snuggly elephant socks. Now all I need is a good book.

It Was A Bit Windy Today

This is the fence in the northwest corner of our backyard. It was kind of busted up when we moved into this place, but it was standing so we put it to the back of our minds.

Until today, that is :)

As you can see, this bit of our backyard needs a little TLC. In addition to the fence repair/replacement, I would like to put in some kind of garden. Possibly a vegetable garden. At any rate, I think this wind storm created a bit of motivation to get started.
