Someone Please Help Me With This

So....what is this?

I mean, what is this? It looks like a tree, but holy shit it's pink! Barbie pink. Barbie threw up on this tree. Yes, this tree is made of Barbie and probably Hello Kitty throw up. It's hurting my retina's just looking at it. Avert your eyes!

My friend Mandy and I spotted this atrocity at Big Lots earlier this week. Oh, Big Lots. It's all making sense now, isn't it? Look, I'm a fan of the Big Lots. It got us through some rough times with it's oh-so-cheap knock off cleaners and toilet paper. But it's also an establishment notorious for it's strange and random items.

So who's buying this? What's the demographic we're marketing to here? My guess is either the 18-25 year-old female college population or little old ladies. I could totally see this in grandma's living room, clashing beautifully with the sea foam green shag carpet.

But hey, it's Christmas. I shouldn't be so negative, right? And now that I think about it, I can't think of a better way to celebrate our Lord and Savior than with pink plastic pine.

Speechless

I. Wow. I don't even know what to say about this. It starts out weird and gets weirder once the cats show up. Still, I couldn't take my eyes away.

What I Did On The Plane To Keep Me Sane

This is my first cross stitching project and all I can say is, I'm hooked! Now that I feel comfortable with it, I'm ready to move on to more advanced swear words and objectionable designs.

Traveling Freak Show

Know what this is?

Like to wager a guess?

I found it sitting on the front desk when I came into work this morning.

Give up? It's a vial of human hair.

No one knows where it came from. It was just sitting there, in all it's creepy glory. None of us are quite sure what to do with it, either. We should probably just chuck it in the trash, but we couldn't help but hang onto it all day and pass it around to fellow co-workers who were similarly baffled by it.

It's creepy as shit, but honestly....without these bizarre occurrences, what else would we entertain ourselves with? The world is a traveling freak show, and each day a new exhibit rolls into our little town to frighten and amuse us.
